Type Locality and Naming

Along the village of Nefteabad, South Fergana. G.Kh. Salibaev, 1989f. (Decision of the Commission on the Paleogene System of Middle Asia RMSK, 1989). Stratotype in the area of the village of Kyzylpilyal. Forms the upper part of the Rishtan Fm, layers with Platigena asiatica.

Synonym: Nefteabad Suite, Нефтеабадская св.

Lithology and Thickness

Green, dark green, black, tobacco-colored clays with layers of oysters. Thickness up to 30 m.
